R.I.P Sexyama.
Seriously though, what does the UFC have against Akiyama?
EDIT: I feel sorry for Belfort, too. He really wanted a spot on the Rio card.

I'm also leaning towards Akiyama. Not sure yet, but it's definately not as one sided as you're trying to make it sound.

I think its pretty one sided, Akiyama likes to stand and trade so I can see Belfort putting his lights out pretty quickly.

I was really hoping Belfort would get Bisping but I like his chances even more against Akiyama.

If Akiyama knows what's good for him, he'll throw Vitor around for three rounds, otherwise it's going to be a short night for him.

I'm not saying picking Akiyama over Belfort is bold. I just highly doubt Akiyama could finish him.

Belfort wins this fight by KO IMO. Akiyama is such and exciting fighter with a fan-friendly style, and that is what is probably going to end his night for him. He is heavy handed himself, and he has a great chin, but it is one thing for his chin to hold up to power punches from Leben, but it is a whole other thing altogether taking punishment from someone who has the hand speed of Belfort combined with being extremely heavy handed. Don't get me wrong, Leben has dynamite in his hands, but Belforts hand's are loaded with H-bombs. We're talking about a guy who used to fight at Heavyweight and was KOing people there in the early goings of his career, and now he is fighting at MW. That is a very powerful dude for a 185er. If Akiyama doesn't play it smart and try to use his hands only to get inside and clinch Belfort then use his judo to toss Belfort around, then it is likely going to be a relatively short night, followed by a hazey recollection of the weeks preceding the fight for Akiyama.
