I love stats and the idea of an encyclopedia is great, I personally use Wikipedia alot and I get all the info I want on the UFC on that. It lists every single UFC event in order and you can also read profiles on all the established fighters and its updated, were a book will soon be out of date everytime there is a new event.

Then they can sell you a new book.

This will only make sense if they include the whole history of the UFC and not just what they want to focus on. I see UFC fans buying his up by the handfull by I think their are others like me out their that are gonna wait and see the finished product before they get too excited.

That is an interesting point. I do see them including all of the information from a purely statistical standpoint. I am curious to see how much extra time is spent on someone like Frank Shamrock though. I don't think anymore than absolutely necessary.

Grappler that was the main point I was thinking about. regardless of Dana and Zuffa's beef with Frank his fight with Tito is still a classic and he was,to an extent their poster boy for a while.
I am curious to see the finished product and hope it turns out real well though.

The book is going to cover over 170 UFC events (UFC 1 - UFC 130 including all UFN's and UF Finales), we have entries for over 300 fighters and will have coverage of referees, cutmen, commentators, Dana, etc. Tom Gerbasi (lead writer for the UFC) is authoring the book and his content is nothing less than spectacular. The book will be 400+ pages, hardcover w/ dust jacket and will retail for $50. Pre-order it now on Amazon for $31 - can't beat that.

TWITA was kind enough to offer up a copy of this book as a prize to the top point scorer for UFC 137 in our camp. Kill_The_Rich and I both tied with 99 points and TWITA came through in spades dropping us both a copy in the mail.
Mine came yesterday and I can honestly say that I'm blown away by the amount of content inside. This book is a fantastic recounting of the early history of the UFC. And it's not nearly as Zuffa biased as you'd expect. In the back of the book there's actually a list of the top fighters from several nations and Franky Shams was actually recognized as one of the best fighters from USA ( I think there was like 20 or so on the list). I was a tad surprised to see that.
There's bios for every fighter who ever graced the UFC roster as well as photos. It'll make a great autograph collecting platform for anyone who is into that sort of thing.
Awesome book. Thanks TWITA!
