I did. I thought it was entertaining, definitely gave a good background of some of the major players and where PRIDE came from. The ending was pretty somber, though, more like RIP PRIDE than anything else.

Thoughts?

Haven't seen it, but that makes sense. The real PRIDE is dead. It's now UFCJapan. I'll still watch and enjoy, just like all mma, but I always enjoyed the different rules and things. Jay Glazier on, what will prob'ly be his last, new installment he says UFC bought PRIDE. I think that summed it all up. The rest is all technicallities. I don't want to sound like a troll, but I think ppl are gonna be surprised that Fedor's record suffers dramatically now that elbows are universal. Any retrospective put together at this point, imo, should kinda have a death knell feel to it. That's how I'd do it.

Watched it on WinAMP. Interesting but I'm glad I didn't dish out for it. Seemed more like good content for a cheap DVD than a PPV event.

Thanks for the input, I was debating whether or not to "obtain" it and watch it, think I will now.

Watching it in pieces since I have two young kids. Just finished up to Frye / Takayama. The whole Frye sequence is awesome just from Frye's commentary. My wife and I were in tears laughing

Why didn't you watch Pride before, and why are you considering watching it now that the Fertitas own the company? Not trying to be a dick, but I'm just curious why.

I liked Pride 10x more than UFC before, but I'd still watch almost every UFC event.

edit: To stay on thread topic, I liked the show. Especially fighter commentary.

The UFC did not buy Pride even though Dana White would like to think so.

I thought the documentary was good, not glad I dished out for it, but overall very good. Some great highlights, great fighter commentary, especially Don Frye. That dude is classic.
