The August 27 event is already headlined by Anderson Silva's middleweight title defence against Yushin Okami, while MMA legend Royce Gracie is expected to be confirmed within the next two weeks.

Here's hoping Shogun decides to grace us with his presence this time.

Griffin by UD. i see Forrest using the same gameplan he used against Franklin. i would have prefered Shogun vs Vera (if he is back with the UFC after Silva's piss test fail) or Bonnar...someone with a name but easily beatable to get him back to his winning ways and possibly a (T)KO win infront of his homecrowd

I think Rua should ko Forrest, but you never know with Shogun, This is gonna be a war, I can't wait

if the real Shogun shows up, it will be 1 round of picking Forrest apart, 2nd rd tko or ko, but I have a feeling Shogun will not be at full potential, which would turn this into a war if it doesnt end quickly, cause Forrest has good endurance even when hes off for a while.
Shogun was my favorite fighter, but now idk anymore. His styriking looked bad in the Jones fight, his ring rust or injuries cause him to gas so quick, and he is like BJ, talented, but you never know what level of performance he will give.

I think He gave about 20% of his potential vs Jones, and 10% vs Forrest and Coleman. When he fought Machida the first time he was 60% and 80% the second time. I feel he still has a lot of potential, but these injuries and layoffs are hurting him. also, Rua dropping to 185 is a good idea, I dont know what Rua walks around at, but I get the feeling he doesnt cut a lot of weight at 205. Forrest is a lot bigger than Rua, and being gassed against a bigger guy gives Rua a distinct disadvantage like their last fight.
If this fight gets cancelled,

I also wanna see CHAEL SONNEN VS SHOGUN at 205 or 185. It could be a SF style match where the winner gets a tile shot at mw, BUT THE FIGHT CAN BE A CATCHWEIGHT, so Rua can move down slowly like Wandy did to 185.

Bad news for Shogun, he's facing another one of the bigger LHW's that can control him. Forrest UD.

I was hoping Shogun would get a tune up fight to shake off that rust and get back on track.

And plus I was kinda wanting winner of Rampage/Hamill, but mostly Rampage to wait and face Forrest.

Now this is going to be a great fight. Forrest has the advantage in size and psychologically already has the first fight to consider, but a healthy Shogun is a dangerous Shogun. Even if his knees aren't what they used to be. I'll bet this rematch will be a lot closer than the first fight was.

People seem to forget Shogun was ahead on all scorecards and was well on his way to winning before Forrest took his back late in the 3rd. Now with Shogun over his injuries and training consistantly he will take Forrest out like he should have. Remember the last time Shogun was in a grudge match? oh yeah it was Lyoto Machida...a guy that Forrest ducked...

Shogun by KO, any doubters can send me an avatar bet.

Wait on who's scorecards ? If you mean the judges (and this is fact like you've seen them) then thank god forrest finished and saved a robbery from happening. Forrest w as clearly winning esspecially with his grappiling from bottom and top.

Shogun always has the chance to finish the fight, but I just don't see it happening with Griffin. I'll go with Griffin by decision after surviving a handful of scares.

Shogun might have gassed but, Forrest is the type of fighter that Shogun struggles against.

I just can't pick Forrest over Shogun. I don't see forrest beating him again. But who knows which Shogun will show up.
