Sucks to see him go but like someone stated above can't blame him I think he found out his nitch in coaching. Frankie became a world champ under his watch and honestly the transformation from kris mcray between his fight with rocha and hathaway is amazing. He trained under this guy and it showed so even though he's walked away from fighting good to see him still around the game.

That's awesome I didn't even know that he coached those guys. Hopefully, coaching goes well for him.

I guess I understand. He really isn't going anywhere in the division, its not like he will ever get a title shot. I guess he rather just coach or do something else with his life. Best of luck to Almeida.

like i said to my camp..i startd to wonder where Almeida's head was at..u can tell he lost faith in his last few fights..in the beginnin , he was real focus..but after his drop to WW..u saw a whole different Almeida..i think this is the rite choice for him..if u lost heart to fight, jus train fighters..best of wishes Big Dog...

its good to see him retiring on his own terms and not waiting to lose 6 in a row then "get back on track" by beating a no name. he has tons of experience and knowledge to pass on so he'll be around the sport for a long time.
