I love Joe Rogan (but not in a warm, fuzzy, feeling, kinda way) Yet it drives me crazy to no end when their seems to be a complete favortisim for particular fighters. The absolute worst was the Akihiro Gono and Tamdan McCroy(Gono even adressed this in an interview) fight but is it just me or can you really just tell when Joe is not into a particular fighter? I felt if last night with the Johnson/Hardy bout and I can't believe he didn't go ape $*$* when Zombie pulled off the twister. Normally he goes crazy for that type of stuff. I thought their was a hint of it as well with the Russow Madsen fight. Anyhow,I felt I needed to get that off my chest and see if anyone agreed or disagreed. Granted i'm sure most commentators have some emotional investiment for particular fights.

PS,Long live MMA!!!

Yeah, Rogan does play favorties sometimes.

I actually like the Bellator announcers, I'll take them over Rogan and Goldie.

I agree 100%! Rogan in my opinion the best at his job, I love his passion and the way he breaks things down for idiots like me, but in the Garcia - Jung fight I wanted to choke him!

I thought Rogan was going to explode when the twister was used. I've even heard him talk about it a few times in interviews! Then when it was pulled off all he could muster was something like "Somewhere Eddy Bravo is a happy guy".

Rogan was so far up Garcia's ass in that fight I'm surprised he could get out in time to interview Jung. All he talked about was how Garcia held his hands up, even though Jung was tagging him with jabs and low kicks. Then he'd explode whenever Garcia landed anything!

I thought of the 3 broadcasts this weekend the Voice and Trigg did the best. But it changes week in and week out.

He's the worst when Penn fights. He mentioned in an interview that Penn was his favorite fighter, and he doesn't bother to hide it. During the first and second Edgar fight you can tell his excitement disappearing as the fought goes on, giving a small amount of credit to Edgar's skill set every so often.

I look up to Rogan quite a bit. He's hilarious, he's very passionate about mma and the guy knows a lot and been through a lot but you're absolutely right. He shows major favouritism to certain fighters because in all honesty I think he's a fan first and foremost even though this is his job. He's not my favourite commentator (Rutten/"The Voice" are) but he's at least bearable to listen to. Goldie on the other hand is awful and always has been. He doesn't say anything of relevance and a third of the time he is just plain wrong.

With that being said I'll take Goldie over Mauro any day of the week. The Bellator commentating is excellent though. My personal favourite team whenever Warren isn't apart of it. If Bas and "The Voice" teamed up as a regular commentating team I'd be very happy. I don't necessarily mind Trigg though, he's just a little awkward at times.

Also, keep in mind I watch every and any mma event pretty baked so you can understand why Rutten and Schiavello are my favourites

It doesn't much bother me that Rogan plays favorites with some fighters because he openly talks about it. It shows that he's really into the sport, as opposed to some announcers in other orgs. that seem to be somewhat clueless.

This is spot on....I remember an interview he did discussing how he first got the job in somethin like the UFC 30s or something way back like that....he stated that he was a comedian and a fan and to commentate a sport he was a fan of was payement in itself and that if he got fired today he would not be bitter because of the ride he has had.....just think how you would be if you had that job....I know I would be much worse than Rogan that's for sure.

You are crazy. Whether you like Rogan or Goldie or not they are absolutely the best. The make it the most exciting and are very knowledgeable. There is no one better than Joe or Goldie. It's hard to not be completely biased, they are fans just like us and thats what makes them great.

I like Rogan and Goldie's commentary the best they are very knolegeable and humorous. The Voice Michael Shiavello has very good commentary in Deam and K1. At points Rogan does play favourites but most of the time he just calls the action and picks up every little aspect going on in the fight hands down Rogan's the best commentator.

I've really gotta disagree man... Goldie just asks Rogan questions over and over again or says something that is just incorrect or just not nesscesary to say . It's gotten to the point where Rogan barely acknowledges him anymore. Bellator commentary just flows so well. Just one man's opinion though.

And Jimmy Smith has actually fought MMA before, so he has a lot of knowledge. Then it is also just refreshing to listen to someone else, instead of the same two for like 4 or 5 years.
