You'd think that in a business of professional tough guys it would take more than one little comment to hurt so many feelings and bruise so many egos. You'd be wrong.

In my opinion, there was a friendly agreement to fight and they have been lead to spice it up... idk for sure of course.

It's obviously awkward for them to fight each other, but the media blew it way out of proportion. Since Jackson won't be in either corner like he says, I wonder if he'll be silently rooting for Bones.

no, I think Greg Jackson broke the honour code by saying he wouldn't corner rashad. I have no problem with teammates fighting each other, as long as the junior (in terms of time spent at the gym, not age or time spent in the octagon) is asked to leave the gym and train elsewhere for at least that training camp

rashad cant blame jackson for coaching jones to the title. what is jackson supposed to say? thats his fighter and the ufc offered him a shot at the title. was jones supposed to say no to the biggest opportunity of his career? rashad is trippin. you cant blame rashad, but hes jealous, plain and simple

I think their whole friendship is a little blown out of proportion, I mean it's not like they've really known each other all that long.

Any answer other than the last one is wrong. I'm sorry, this is mma... No one is betraying anyone.

Unlike most people I have talked to about this ,my problem is actually with Rashad . I don't have a problem with Jones taking the fight because Rashad couldn't have because of injury . Now Jones was reportedly originally not willing to fight Rashad if he won the belt.. Shouldn't Rashad then agree not to fight him if Jones is champ? I guess not . Rashad feels that he had earned that shot and so Jones shouldn't accept the title shot. I guess i understand both sides, but I if i was Jones and Rashad told me not to take the shot and he felt betrayed by him. I'd say no. Why aren't you willing to do me the same courtesy? Then Jones says fine I'll fight him, then Rashad has to say he's not afraid. Anyway, there are so many different reports on what happened who really knows for sure? It's not like its Rashad and Jardine (best friends ) fighting each other. I say Jones dominates him and finishes him in less than 2. Rashad has power in his hands and speed so he could land a big shot but thats his only shot IMO. Jones is bigger , stronger and I believe Faster. Plus I believe greco trumps freestyle in mma.

I posted something very similar in another thread. I think Rashad is coming off as a cry baby in this.

Good I'm glad they hate eachother now. Watch, they'll probably hug and tell eachother how much they love and respect eachother right after the fight is over. Don't mind showing respect and congratulating eachother after a fight. But when we hear how much they hate eachother and then they are laughing and hugging in the ring like they are long lost brothers makes me want to get sick. Happens more in boxing than MMA.
