I still call BS on the cross promotion denial.
Fedor vs. Couture by the end of 2011.
I'm with you man. The financing part I dont get, but I think it will only be a matter of time before this happens.

Huge move for ZUFFA, I'll be interested to see how things pan out over the next 6 months to a year. I feel like Dana just finished the deal and sat down to take the interview...IMO all of the talk about expansion, and growth is great for these guys especially in light of the NFL lockout being announced at midnight. I'm really excited to see what these guys do with Strikeforce. It's going to be really cool to see mma spread even further throughout the world.

Agreed. Organizations only get better when they have a top notch competitor to battle against. Now there's nobody that even comes within 10% of the UFC. Sure, there's some great potential fights - Diaz vs GSP, Diaz vs Silva, Diaz vs Penn, Fedor/Overeem/Big Foot vs Cain/JDS/Brock, Fedor vs Couture, etc - and I'm looking forward to those, but I think that the negatives outweigh the positives. The UFC can't/won't re-sign all of the top talent. What happens to those fighters? Do they wind up fighting once a year in Japan or in some crap organization? What happens with someone like Aoki who fights in Strikeforce and in Dream? I don't see him leaving Dream and you know the UFC would never let him fight for another organization. Lots of potential but tons of negatives too.

Strikeforce will be no more in 2 years time. Also imagine the Hendo scenario that Dana mentioned in the interview. Hendo to Dana - I want 250k per fight. Dana to Hendo - No, I will give you 150K Hendo to Cocker - I want 250k per fight (Dana has a word in Cokers ear) Cocker to Hendo - No, I will give you 100k
Lets play monopoly!!!

I'm not sure about this situation. Some fighters have been very public on their distaste for how the UFC. Fedor, Overeem, Diaz, etc. I'm curious to know what they think on the purchase.
In my opinion, doing away with Strikeforce would have been the better choice. I've only liked select fighters and the white gloves thus far, while I've disliked the setup, choice of employees, and pretty much everything else. I would've preferred a WEC-like outcome.
