There are moments from his UFC 127 bout with Michael Bisping in Sydney, Australia that are still fuzzy to Jorge Rivera, but there is at least one thing he knows for sure.
The illegal knee that Bisping hit him with in the first round? No matter what Bisping said later, that was no accident, Rivera told MMA Fighting on Sunday.
"That knee was deliberate, and I'll tell you exactly how I know this," Rivera said.

He spat on the boxing coach, The guy who played him in the funny videos, Which was shown live on PPV., Bisping is a classles act. And that knee was the worst one I have ever seen. In terms of Rivera wasnt even trying to get up.

I hope this isn't deemed fighter bashing but Bisping is a doucher. My dislike for him grows more and more every time he opens his mouth. My opinion is usually justified by his actions. The UFC cuts guys like Gerald Harris but keeps guys like this.

Belfort has called out Bisping on Twitter this morning.
Personally Im prepared to give Bisping the benefit of the doubt, the bottom line here is that Rivera was never going to win, wasn't a clever move by Bisping, but then maybe Rivera and his camp should think about winding somneone up who has a volatile nature and not expect any reprucussions.

I'm no bisping fan at all and I would never ever condone spitting at someone else. That being said he didn't spit on him he spit in front of him, and I can't even blame him for getting in riveras face after the bout. Riveras videos were in poor taste and a cheap attempt to promote the fight. I remember agreeing with bisping when he stated all if jorges comments were racist and if he wasnt british or a heel people would notice it. That's part of the trash talk game if you talked alot of it then after the fight there is no rule the person being insulted has to be cordial to you. I can't blame micheal for speaking his mind to jorge after the bout
As for the knee I'm going to assume (and hope) it wasnt intentional and just pulled the trigger early. Micheal doesn't have a history with dirty tactics if I remember correctly.

Jorge's videos were pretty stupid IMO, he got the desired result out of Bisping and payed the price. In regards to the knee I think it was done intentionally. Bisping did not seem at all apologetic, even to the ref or crowd. Considering how close the fight came to being stopped he didn't seem to care and made some remarks to Jorge when he was still down and at the end of the first.

Illegal knee or not (I doubt it was intentional...Bisping knew he f'd up as soon as it landed), the end result would have been the same. Jorge looked like he was 60 in that 2nd round. I'd pick Bisping to win that fight 10 times out of 10.

Well, that's Bisping's explanation anyway. The video tells a different story though.

Yet another classy move by Bisping. Instead of trying to help him up or see if he's OK after illegally kneeing Jorge in the face, he shoves him to the ground.

That's not how I see it. Jorge kind of lunges a bit like he's going to grab Bisping's legs. I think Bisping was pushing him away to avoid having his legs wrapped up. I don't, for one second, think he was shoving him to the mat out of disrespect.

What sucks is that no one knows what would have happened if the illegal knee had not landed. We can sit here and say "Well, Rivera was gonna lose anyway" but until that knee landed, it was anyone's fight. You can't get hit like that and expect to be the same afterwards. I am super-surprised that the fight continued.
And i do think the knee was intentional. Bisping said he was trying to time the knee to when Rivera got up, yet the video shows anything but. He was throwing to land it at that time, and at that time Rivera was down. There. Intentional knee to the head of a downed opponent.
As far as I'm concerned, that knee was so bad, the whole fight should be thrown out and considered a NC. To say that it didn't effect the outcome of the fight is to not look at the facts. That was the first power strike that did any damage. And it won Bisping the fight. It just took until the second round for Rivera to realize it.
