Hey that's real cool that your uncle is best friends with Bones. I'm excited for this one as well.Jones is the best prospect there's been in a long time and I agree with Bruce Buffer that he'll be the Muhammed Ali of mma. I feel it's destiny for him to take the belt and I'll be rooting for him as well. I expect a great battle with Jones coming out on top.

I've been a Shogun fan for so long it's hard for me to not cheer for him...
With that being said, if there's any LHWs that I wouldn't mind seeing beat him, Bones is on top of the short list...
SIDE NOTE: However things work out, I'd really like to see a Shogun Lil Nog rematch

I couldnt have said it any better. Shogun vs Jones. I see it as a Jones finish, or a Shogun finish. It could go anyway. I want Jones to win, but Shogun is by far my favorite fighter, and I want him to prove why he has that belt. And 1 title defense doesnt do him justice.
Shogun Lil Nog 2 sounds like a war.

Can't wait for this fight. I first really started watching a lot of MMA because of Matt Hughes back in his dominant years and I remember when GSP showed up on the scene. I remember thinking "wow, this guy is different".
After watching Jon Jones a few times, I get the same feeling. I believe he will take Shogun out by submission in the 3rd.

It is definitely an exciting match-up. Probably the one I am most anticipating right now.
Shogun in '05 was kind of what Jones is today. This fight will determine if the future of '05 is the present, or if that future is already the past and today's future is actually today's present. Of course, if they draw, that could mean that the past, present, and future are all happening at once.
On second thought, I am worried that this fight will cause a rupture in the space/time equillibrium. Now I don't want this fight to happen

It will be interesting to see how much of the fight Jones decides to stand for, how long it takes shogun to open up with kicks, and how their styles match-up on the ground.
Shogun is the best BJJ guy Jones has fought, and Bones is the most dynamic wrestler that Shogun has fought.
