400 grams. That's the margin – 0.881849 pounds for you non-metric people – by which Paul Daley missed weight for his welterweight title fight against Yuya Shirai at BAMMA 5, according to manager Wad Alameddine. As a result, the fight is now a 3-round NON-TITLE fight and Daley will be fined an undisclosed percentage of his fight purse, which will go to Shirai. Daley was 2 pounds overweight on his first try.

Karma. Thats what happens when you try to sucker punch someone after a fight. The sucker punch , runs his mouth, and now this. He isnt making it very easy on himself.

He wazsn't the only one. Ricco Rodriguez couldn't make catch weight for his fight with James McSweeney. 217 for a fight at 215.

Sherdog had a nice statistic. Daley's missed weight 5 times in his last 11 fights.

I'm a huge Daley Fan but I hate that he never makes weight it's very unprofessional esspecially for a title fight, this isn't going to help him get a title fight for strike force. That being said this is why I was upset when Melendez called Daley out to a 165 lb catch weight bout. Daley can't even make weight for 170 so why is he going to make an empty threat which he knows Daley won't do.

A loss will help, though!

It's not karma, its his unprofessional attitude towards the sport. Karma would be a stroke of bad luck, like the airline losing his luggage or getting food poisoning at the hotel. His weight is completely under his control and if he cant make weight at 170 maybe he should be fighting at 185.
I really hope strikeforce takes this into consideration and IF they still give Daley the fight with Diaz its under the conditions that if he misses weight he loses the shot and they have a back up challenger ready. I really doubt this sort of thing would fly with an athletic commission unfortunately.
