I didn't read about this, but I'd say it's good, I guess. He's got a point, but he's also never faced a wrestler like Brock who can put him on his back and keep him there.

He can say whatever he wants about Brock and his chin or his abilities but pretttttty sure he's gonna get planted on his back and mauled until either the final bell sounds or the ref pulls him off.

I think it was a brilliant move by Dos Santos. He's been shooting through the rankings, and at his current level of popularity, there is ONLY one way to gain even more fame without winning the belt, and that is beating Brock Lesnar who happens to be the former champion. At the same time Dos Santos is able to keep in shape, and not allow ring rust to set in while he waits for Valesquez. You can argue that he also has the style advatange, considering he's probably the best striker in the division right now and Lesnar's chin is questionable.
As we've all seen in his recent fights, Lesnar does not being hit. If you can manage to stay on your feet long enough to land some solid shots, you have a really good chance of winning against Lesnar. It's not that he has a weak chin, he is just scared of getting hit, and instead of intelligent blocking he chooses to back pedal and shy away from strikes. Also, count in Dos Santos and his takedown defense. We really don't know how good it is, since Roy Nelson has been the only one to really try, and he managed nothing against Dos Santos. Santos also has a wild card in being a BJJ black belt under the Nogs.
I'd say Dos Santos has a very good chance of winning.

This fight could easily go either way but, now that I'm starting to evaluate the fight more I'm starting to sway back towards Lesner, JDS isn't as quick and nimble as Cain and I think Lesner can put him on his back.

You can't train your chin.
I think it was a smart move.

Was it smart? Probably not. Why would you intentionally try to piss off Brock Lesnar?
Was he correct? Probably. Watching Brock's previous fights brings into question his ability to take a shot. I don't want to say he doesn't like getting punched (because really, who does?), but he definitely does not defend strikes the way he should. Covering up + Backpedaling = unintelligent defense. At least try some head movement for crying out loud!
If the fight goes to the ground, it is Lesnar's to win. If it stays standing, I question Lesnar's ability to not get pummeled by dos Santos.

Was it the smart thing to do? I certainly don't see much harm in it. I honestly think lesnar will be motivated no matter what Dos Santos says or does. Also, it's the truth in my opinion. He doesn't have good standup and had shown no chin in previous fights. Couture knocked him down...so did Carwin...so did Cain. He showed good heart in the Carwin fight but that had little to do with his chin.
I think the story of the fight is the same as every lesnar fight. If he is able to gain top position he wins. If not hw will probably wake up with a Dr. hovering over him asking if he knows where he is.

Yeah, I knew he was only a brown belt the last time I check, but I did some research in case he had been promoted. He hadn't been.

but you got to think that any one on any given day can knock you out no matter how big and bad you are. I have said this before but in the world there is always someone bigger and badder than you are.
