Darren Elkins is dropping a weight class and is expected to make his featherweight debut against Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 131.

MMAjunkie.com today confirmed the planned bout with sources close to the event, who said verbal agreements are in place but bout agreements not signed.

Although not officially announced, UFC 131 is expected to take place June 11 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

I hope Omigawa can rebound here. Dont want to see an early exit from him.

I'm glad the ufc didn't throw Omigawa to the wolves once again, still gave him a wrestler but Omigawa didn't do as bad with his sprawl against Mendes as I expected so I think Omigawa should handle him. I think the lack of contenders at 145 is helping Omigawa stick around when he picks up this win.

I think Omigawa can probably take this. Will be rooting for him.
