If what Ariel Helwani is saying is to be believed, then the answer quite possibly is yes. "I don't think that they will admit this to us on the record at least but, trust me, I'm not going to call anyone out but I spoke to a few people in Strikeforce who, when I said ‘what does this mean?', a smile instantly appeared on their face. I mean, I'm not saying that they're rooting for Fedor, obviously not, but let's be honest, I mean, everyone knows that it's very hard to deal with M-1. So, now, April 9th it's not an M-1 Global & Strikeforce event. That's just a Strikeforce event."

Im not about to sit here and say that they are difficult to deal with because there is no way of knowing unless you have seen it first hand, but from what we have seen with Fedor they seem to be. Plus, why would a promotion want to co-promote with anyone that is difficult to deal with. Maybe they are happy ,and if there is truth to everything being said about M-1, can you really blame them?

Fedor value and dollars dropped
M-1 negotiating power has diminished as well. Strikeforce has upper hand now

I personally would have liked to see him make it farther in the tourney. I can't imagine them wanting him out in the first. But maybe..
