I see no reason for GSP to move up until he wants to if ever. There is no law that says If your too good at one weight you must move up 15 lbs. This isn't boxing were they have a spot for you ever 5 lbs. He earned his right to rule at WW. I wanna see the GSP Anderson fight but I see no reason for anyone to tell a title holder your too good we need to bring you back down to earth you have to fight bigger fighters. Penn didn't have to drop his belt when he went after GSP's belt Why would GSP drop his to go after Andersons?

A lot of good points on this thread! The UFC would never force GSP to vacate his title, unless he had like 5 fights that were on the same level of disgrace that Silva-Leites and Silva-Maia were. I was never more upset after buying PPV's than those two.

GSP-Kos 2 however.... I say if GSP keeps putting on performances like that, I'll be ok with him staying champ at 170!

Fitch deserves the shot. Should Lytle win he is in the mix too. And Kampmann... you all know how I feel he should be fighting GSP in April.

Can't root for a guy with an ankle braclet tattoo

Please win BJ.

Because it's "so gay" right?

Because it's girly. I've seen at least 20 chicks with it and only 1 guy with it...

And I'm rooting for BJ because Fitch bores he half to death. I would root for him against BJ but I'd rather watch leaves turn red in autumn than root for a LnP'er.

Not sure why some people assume GSP is being forced out his weight class. He has been in talks about this for quite some time. His only hangup was that he would leave WW behind to put on the proper weight to stay at MW...which looks like reality in the making, assuming he wins against Jake.

BJ or Fitch would be decent a challenger but we've seen it before and we know how GSP handles them.
Neither Fitch nor BJ has seemed to make an huge strides in their game that would lead me to believe they stand much of a chance against GSP.

You know what? I would rather see Anders Silva move up and GSP keep on dominating at WW. IDK why, but I've lost interest in GSP moving to MW.

meh... im actually not very excited by these news. Itll either be GSP Penn III or GSP Fitch II. Im pulling for fitch to win but i do agree that penn would give a better fight, at the moment its what i think.

If this is the case, I`ll be rooting for Penn.

That said, Im not interested in either of those rematches really.

I think once GSP stomps Shields he will be gone to MW never to be heard from again in the WW ranks. If so I say the winner of Fitch/BJ vs. Kos. This team stuff is crap...if Fitch and Kos were offered a TITLE fight against eachother they had better man up.

Ps - GSP via decision over the Spider.

Fitch is going to grind BJs bones to make his bread. And then probably become the next WW title holder since GSP will be gone from the division after Shields

Oh yay, BJ Penn vs. GSP 3 or Fitch vs. GSP 2. Anyone else have a problem with this?

It's possible neither of those would happen. If GSP beats Shields, I bet Dana White will want him to move up to Middleweight. The winner of Penn-Fitch may be more likely to face the winner of Diego Sanchez & Martin Kampmann in a new title fight. Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves could be in the mix, too.

I hope so. That would the ideal thing to do. There's only so many times that people will continue to pay for GSP and Silva fights when they keep dominating their opponents. For the sakes of the divisions, the business, and the fans, it's the smartest thing to do.

Right there with you guys........well kinda. I hope the GSP/Andy fight happens in a bad way. But say he losses to Anderson? Does he stay at 185?? I wouldn't think so. And on a further note. GSP does not have to relinquish the WW belt to fight at 185. Silva never did to fight at 205. The UFC has never had a multi-weightclass champion before. And who DOESN"T love a dominant champion???
