I kinda hate to say it but Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva just pummeled Fedor. The Doctors stopped it after the 2nd rnd. When Fedor's eyes was damn near swollen shut. After 2 straight losses, I have a ? for the PG? Has Fedor lost it, or has the rest of the field caught up?? I am saying that the field has caught up. Also WAR Kharitonov! I just knew a russian would win that fight!!

It's got nothing to do with the field. It has everything to do with taking so many damn fights against men who are clearly just much bigger. I can promise you this; Velasquez, Lesnar, and Carwin would have lost that fight if Silva had gotten that position, too.
The only person I think who could have, MAYBE, gotten out of that position would have been Roy Nelson based on size.

It kind of reminded me of a fading Tyson, with the one shot haymakers thrown without any setup. Hard to watch really.

Fedor and Andrei could be done.
Crap I dont think I put any money on Bigfoot. Fight looked like a HW vs a LHW.

Fighters are stronger, bigger, and faster than Fedor and on top of that his skill set is average by modern standards, it's sad but true, perhaps a cruiserweight division would have prolonged his career but honestly, a new era started five years ago and that in my mind was when Fedor's downfall became inevitable.

He just can't compete against these huge guys are getting way better than they were 5 years ago...2 years ago Andrei and Fedor fought for #1 spot in the world. Crazy how MMA changes.

It was hard to see Andrei get knocked out again....I truly think he needs to find another line of work....wouldn't mind seeing at least one more fight from Fedor.

He has the saddest knockout face in combat sports.

He does have te saddest knockout face. I think now would be a great time to put that Fedor/Couture retirement fight together.

i think fedor should definitely retire. the new breed of heavy weight today is just to much for the old breeds. on top of that, he took to much time off between fights. overeem fights like every 3 months and hes been around for a long time too. it was hard to seee fedor get clobbered. also, the 45% of the people that texted in on strikeforces grand prix poll saying fedor would win the tourney just put their foot in their mouth, you could say a "Big Foot"

Silva is good but not that good enought to finish fedor
Says that werdum win wasn't a fluke Fedor just isn't the same. Or that now against the new 2.0 heavyweights Like carwin, jds, reem, velasquez, and others. You can be a 220 guy fighting a guy bigger I still think fedor should try to drop to 205.

Fedor lost for one simple reason: Before this fight or the last one he retired the Glorious Sweater Of Absolute Victory. Bad karma!

It was very weird...Fedor did have the aura around him that I'm used to seeing in one of his fights...maybe its because he was coming off the loss to Werdum...but from the start he looked beatable by Bigfoot...and it was kind of sad looking as well to watch him get mounted and seriously handled. Even when Brett Rodgers was giving him ground and pound and didn't make him look as helpless as he did last night. A sad day, but a natural progression...a fighter has a finite lifespan and especially someone who has been at the top as long as fedor...it was a matter of time before he started losing a step...it would appear that now is that time.

First of all I dont know what everyone is talking about. I swear to god no one has ever seen Fedor fight before it seems. Everyone is saying oh its the new breed of fighters, no. It is Fedor. He didnt look like himself. He has lost it, he has been fighting for an extremely long time. I think hes losing it and its not everyone is "catching up".
The greatest fighter to ever live is done. Honestly, starting threads entitled "Fedor got a beatdown!!" is kind of disrespectful.
