That's what he said on the latest episode of ESPN's MMA Live. "You know, I would never put going to any weight class out of the question because if a fight was there and it was going to be a fun and competitive fight and something that the fans wanted to see then I would try to do it. But I started my camp at 237, my last camp, and it's going to be really hard for me to make weight. I think the older I'm getting, my body is starting to settle in a little bit, besides the fact my biceps are growing every second of the day. I'm just kidding but I'm getting to be a little bit bigger now so it's harder for me to make 185. It would be a very hard cut but if the fans wanted to see it then I might do it, you know."

I'd like to see that actually. If the cut doesn't take to much out of him I could see him having a lot of success there actually. His wrestling alone would take him far.

But I started my camp at 237

He looks tiny at LHW I thought he walked around at 220 max! I think Rashad vs Silva at MW would be a awesome fight though!

I agree fully! I'd pick Silva all day, but Rashad could shock the world for sure! He has explosive power in his hands and is a spectacular wrestler....

And unlike another certain wrestler at 185, I don't think Rashad would get caught in a triangle with only a minute and a half left....the Jackson camp would come in with a solid gameplan my money says

We are talking about Anderson Silva, yes? Not all this crazy talk about re-emerged "world beater" Wanderlei Silva, right?

This would be an interesting fight, but he'd have to take a few big fights first to get the shot at Silva.

I'm all for him moving down if he's comfortable with it and he's not drained. I'd rather see him fight middle of the pack guys at full strength than fight top notch middleweights after a grueling weight cut.

Would rather see Rashard drop than a Evans/Page rematch this soon.

Title is misleading, should read "Rashad Evans might cut down to Middleweight if Jones beats Rua"

If Rashad can make the cut to middleweight then I can see him becoming the middleweight champ. As long as cutting the weight doesnt affect him to much and he can get over the friendship thing, since him and Nate Marquardt are good friends then he has a very realistic shot at the title. His wrestling alone is good enough to defeat silva. He's got knockout power in his hands and he is very fast. I think this would be a good career move for him

I think Rashad should focus on staying healthy for a long period of time first.
