SAN JOSE, Calif. – No titles changed hands in Strikeforce's first championship doubleheader of 2011.

In the organization's first major show of the year, Strikeforce welterweight champion survived very live underdog Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos and ultimately scored a second-round submission victory.

The bout headlined Saturday's "Strikeforce: Cyborg vs. Santos" event at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. The event aired on Showtime.

Although scheduled for five rounds, Santos clearly had no intention of going the distance. And though criticized as an unworthy title challenger, the former PRIDE fighter tripped up Diaz early.

I am bummed on the results....

HAHA just kidding, I am stoked! Diaz baby!! I would be more stoked if the Mods would update the Secondary League site!!! Why is it when I went to Secondary League site during the broadcast and went to my fight companion, the companion was for the first leg of the Strikeforce tourney? The difference between 4-5 and 5-4 is a world, and I'd like to know where I stand!!!!

PS - Love ya mods! Love the site. I don't know how this hasn't caught on like wildfire....

Cyborg definitely didn't bring enough, Diaz almost KO'ed his ass in the first. He was chopping him down with those leg kicks, however. Props to Cyborg.

If anyone wants to know their results before it's updated, and since the Fight Companion isn't showing.

1) click on "My Playground" and look at how many Secondary League points you have this season.
2) Click on the "Secondary League" tab at the top
3) Click on "Points Leaders"
4) Remembering your point total from step 1, click through the pages until you find yourself.
5) Using the "select event" drop down bar to the right of your username, click on the bottom one: "Dream/WVR combo card"
6) At the URL bar at the very top change the last 3 numbers from 130 to 131

Now you can tally up your W/L and points yourself

To save you all those steps Pmoney, here's a link to yours LINK

Good stuff, Kpro...I think I can even shorten that a bit. Should be no need to find yourself in the "Points Leaders". Just go to your Secondary League "Game History", click on "details" for your points for the Dream/WVR combo card, then do the same thing of changing 130 to 131 in the URL.

You must not have watched any boxing... like ever. That is the great Larry Merchant. Google him if you really want. I think it is very fitting for kpro because the dude is crazy and considered a great. HILARIOUS COMMENTS. no joke

did anyone notice Roger Gracies backne (back acne) last night?

Diaz and Jacare are great fighters I cant wait to see Tyron and Daley test Diaz in the wrestling and striking departments. I think Daley will ko Diaz if Diaz chooses to stand, otherwise a submission will be eay for Diaz if he can get the takedown.
whos next for Jacare?
