So says Dana White from yesterday's pre-FFTT Q&A...of course this likely is assuming Jackson beats Thiago Silva at UFC 130. "(The light heavyweight) division is interesting. There's so many guys at 205, (but) Rampage is probably next in line. Rampage is still in the mix. You've got Jon Jones fighting Bader, which is going to be a great fight that catapults one of those guys into the top five. The big problem with the 205-pound division has been, Shogun's injury has been clogging up the division. So now he's healthy and gonna fight, and we're getting everything rolling here."

I say if he gets past Thiago Silva and Jones gets past Bader, have them fight for #1 contender slot.

But, who would fight the winner of Rashad/Shogun in the meanwhile?

Its interesting. Usually Dana likes to wait until most of the high-profile fights within the division happen before he assigns #1 contenderships.

The winner of Franklin v. Forrest is going to be up in the mix, and so will Jones v. Bader.

Rampage v. Thiago does make sense and should have a high probability of sending Rampage into a rematch with Rashad or Shogun, but i wonder what happens if Thiago wins.

I don't think so
I think winner of bader/jones gets it
Or if randy beats machida don't be suprised if randy gets one final shot

I was thinking that too about Randy, even though Machida is on a 2 fight losing streak.

I like this, if Shogun gets by Rashad I would love to see a rematch between him and Rampage, that would be ridiculous.

I love Randy....but IMO, he shouldn't get a shot, even with a win against Machida.

Are you kidding me?? Rampage lost his belt in a bullshit decision number one, number two he has been beating top ten opponents left and right demolishing most of them. IMO he has most certainly earned that right. If Jake Shields crushs gaysp, he will get an immediate rematch yet again. Don't get me wrong bones is good and I like him, but NOBODY deserves that fight more than rampage. Who has Jones beat??? Matuyshenco, a washed up bum? Come on dude get real!!!!!
