I will never understand why Caldwell called that last timeout.

Last year's Superbowl eliminated in a single day. Shocking.

Indy beat Indy. The flag on that last Jets punt attempt did them in. If they want to go all the way again they'll get a durable RB and a WR or two via the draft and offseason, but here's maybe the telling stat about Manning: His postseason record, despite the Super Bowl win, is only sub-.500, either 8-9 or 9-10.

As for New Orleans, the Saints showed up on offense but the Aints showed up on defense. When you can't stop a QB on one bad hip from having a career game, something's up.

Cromartie burning down the field on that kickoff didn't help them any either. I thought Peyton played a good game. He made some nice audibles (or what looked like audibles) and he didn't miss too many throws but he didn't get a lot of help from his recievers in the second half IMO. I'm not a big fan of giving the starting QB a win/loss record as you would a starting pitcher in baseball (That's an overrated stat too IMO, but that's for another day). It's a team game. You can't put the loss on Peyton's shoulders alone. They just didn't have enough fire power to get it done, and the defense wore down in the second half.
