Ishii takes an uninspired decision over Le Banner.
It appears we are at a brief intermission.
Edit: Zaromskis retained title. Apparently punched Sakuraba's ear off, or atleast partially.

This on Sapp-Suzukawa from Junkie: "A planned "IGF special rules" fight between Bob Sapp and Shinichi Suzukawa was scrapped just prior to the evening's broadcast. Sakuraba's ear has to be one of the grossest thing I have ever seen. It was basically dangling off the side of his head.
Duffee lasted about as long as I thought he would.

Safe to say Duffee's 7 seconds of fame are now over. Maybe not a bad idea by that other promotion to replace him with TIMMAY!!

I think Duffee's gonna be headed back to the minor leagues after this one. I thought he was crazy to take the fight on short notice in the first place, and it went exactly how I thought it would. It was pretty foolish of Duffee to just come out guns blazing considering Overeem's striking pedigree. Maybe he thought he could get lucky and catch him in an exchange, but I would have been much more careful than he was.

Time for Duffee to cash in on his fame and walk away. He could be both breakout and bust of the year in the same year.
High just beat Mach. SD. Sakurai has now lost 4 straight.
Kawajiri takes a UD over Thomson.

If nothing else, I give him credit for coming out guns blazin. He got KO'd for his troubles, but it was the only way he was going to beat ubereem imo. I think we may see more from Duffee yet.
All in all, another great JMMA card to close out the year. WAR Takaya and Kawijiri . Now that Aoki got embarassed once again, someone has to rep for Japan!

I am becoming a believer in Overeem . It's just too bad that he's either juicing, or he's settled for middle tier competition. You just can't be the best in the world until you fight the best in the world. I think he would have trouble with Cain, but Cain would be at a disadvantage standing. I would pick him over JDS, Lesner is a toss up, I think Mir could give him trouble, I think he would destroy Werdum at this point in time, I think that Fedor matches up with him pretty good but I think the Demolition Man would have too much of a strength advantage .
