Once thought to be a non-title affair, the late-notice scrap between Todd Duffee and Alistair Overeem (Pictured) at “Dynamite: The Power of Courage 2010” will be for the Dream interim heavyweight crown.

Pretty sure they knew Overeem was going to get his smash on.

Probably not the best strategy to just stand in front of Overeem and wing punches.

i think it was the best strategy possible for him. hes big and has power. why not try to turn it into a reckless slugfest? not much else he coulda done. he was fed to the wolves for sure. but i do like duffee as a fighter and wanna see him in strikeforce or back in the ufc

I actually considered that strategy as well, but I guess I enjoy consciousness enough that I would have decided it was bad idea. A slugfest may have been his best chance to get lucky though.
