A battle between former WEC champs is brewing for the UFC's third trip to New Jersey.

Urijah Faber (24-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC), once tops in the featherweight class before his reinvention as a bantamweight, is expected to meet Eddie Wineland (18-6-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), the first-ever 135-pound champion, at UFC 128.

SICK! I am way stoked for this fight. You have to believe this is a number one contender bout for the Bantamweight division.

Wineland has been looking good as of late, and Faber definitely impressed in his 135lb debut against Mizugaki. Can't wait for this one!

Dang, I want both guys to win but will prolly take Faber. I'm fine with whoever wins but would like to see Wineland get the belt again.

Fantastic fight, I would love to see Wineland win this one, but I think Faber wrestles himself a win.

I was kind of hoping Varner (had he not been cut) would have dropped to 145 for a match with Faber...but it looks likes Faber is sticking with the BW Div for real.

Pretty sure number one contender spot
With winner getting cruz this summer
Cruz is out for 6 months. Does make sense for this fight

Im thinking winner of this v. winner of Miguel Torres v. Antonio Banuelos for Cruz, but maybe Torres is just too removed from the title picture right now.

I say they need to do Faber-Torres no matter what! I know a lot of people wouldn't be for that right now, but I would love to see it.
