Dana White routinely has random conversations with all types of fans on his twitter account, but today there was an interesting tidbit that stood out. He was conversing with someone who was psyched about the signing of Japanese featherweight, Michihiro Omigawa, when the fan mentioned that he hoped they would also get Kid Yamamoto. The UFC president then replied with a simple:
"we did sign kid"

This is fantastic news. I think they may have good enough core group of Asian fighters and guys popular in Asia, to go do a show over in Japan. That would be amazing!

I think that's a market that they'll slowly make their way into. There still seems to be a bit of resentment by the Japanese over the Pride deal. I think they'll hit up the Philippines and maybe Korea to soften up the region first. And of coarse if there's anything to the rumors about FEG struggling, that would speed up that timeline a bit. I think we'll know a bit more about that after the K-1 GP and Dynamite are both in the books though.

Well let's hope they throw Kid to the wolves as well, I mean if they did it to Omigawa, they should do it to Kid.

The UFC Bantamweight division is pretty fracking deep. I haven't looked at who's available, but I think he'll get a 'real' fight in his debut.

Kid is likely going to fight Demetrious Johnson in his UFC debut at UFC 126.
