So is this site going to end the legacy of the Sherdog forum? Hopefully the forums on this site stay more professional with none of that National Enquirer type crap!

I doubt it, Sherdog puts out awesome radio broadcasts, has the ultimate MMA research tool in fight finder, and has so many connections to get news stories first in the MMA world... nevermind the fact that Sherdog has literally 40-50x more members. There's lots of places to go for MMA fans on the net now; we're just hoping to capture a small portion of the pie, the gaming portion If the forums here wind up growing nicely it's just a nice bonus to have on top of it all. With this site not even being 2 weeks old yet though I'm hesitant to call it a "force" in the MMA scene on the net just yet... but maybe some day!

Well I think you're off to a great start. Especially with all of the interactivity on this site. I would only suggest you implement strict moderation of the forums so that they don't become a circus like at Sherdog.
Good job and good luck for the future!

This is a tough nut to crack; NO ONE likes to be censored and told what to say and what not to say. Finding the balance between a laissez faire attitude and knowing if/when to put the smack down is a touchy and fine line. We can just hope for the best and that the members who check the box saying "I agree to the rules of the site" actually follow the rules, specifically the "forum code of conduct" area of them However, that being said, the mods aren't going to sit around and let this place turn into a flame-zone either, even if it winds up pissing some people off.

Sher dog used to be a good source for mma news but lately with all the trolling it's terrible And I second the mod's don't let it go as far as the crap on sherdog

Once a site has so many members it's hard to keep an eye on every single thing going on. There's some angry comments and/or trolling going on there at times, but any really large forum has stuff like that (over 80k registered users on their forums). The sherdog forums also have pro fighters posting on there from time to time which is another cool thing to add to their already long list of cool things.

There's no way in hell this site takes over SD. Jeff himself posted a link to this site. The game is insanely good, but the forum lack.... a lot.

Exactly. Alot of us came here to form a "camp." The game on this site is pretty fun though.

The certain ambience and loving community of Sherdog OT cannot be recreated. Unless we cloned Shido and then just got a bunch of pictures of hit chicks.

Other than that though, it cannot be imitatable.
