Shogun has the title, and Rashad is the #1 contender.
Rampage just beat Machida, Bones is fighting Bader, Thiago Silva v. Brandon Vera & Forrest is fighting Franklin.
If Shogun keeps his title, i think the UFC will want to give him either Forrest or Rampage next. And if Forrest wins against franklin, i think we see the Forrest v. Rampage Rematch, to determine shogun's next title defense. If Forrest loses, It makes more sense that Bones/Bader would be in line ahead of Franklin, and that Franklin should fight Machida next. Thiago v. Vera only comes into play if Bader and Franklin win under-whelmingly and Thiago wins emphatically. Either way, Rampage is locked into the next #1 contender match.
If Rashad takes the title, Bones is out of the title hunt. Bader still has a chance, but Eh, i think the UFC knows he's not ready for a title shot. Rampage is probably the biggest fight you could promote(With Machida out of the picture) against Rashad. Forrest/Rampage makes sense if Forrest wins his next fight against Franklin. It's a rematch that sets up another rematch that is, again, equallly as big as the first. ....But, If both Rashad and Franklin wins their next bouts, What do they do? Rich Franklin v. Rampage? Bader v. Rampage? Thiago Silva v. Rampage?

i personally would like to see rampage fight shogun for the title. i think it would be an extremely exciting matchup. i think franklin is gonna whoop on forrest so i think he could be up for a title shot. ill be kinda pissed to see rashad take the title from shogun, i dont like that guy. plus if he takes it jones wont fight him cause theyre teammates or whatever and i think jones has the potential of being champ one day. bader is good but not champ caliber. i dont see him be champ but hes always good for an exciting fight.

How could u not say jones is next?? He is ready. I really think winner or bader vs jones gets title shot
Then u got people like matt hamill and phil davis. U may get lost in shuffle
Then u add a rampage and winner of franklin vs griffin
I do see a matt hamill vs phil davis match happening And rampage may fight winner of franklin vs griffin

this is how I would set it up:
Bader/Jones - Winner gets next title shot after Rashad. Rampage - Fights winner of Griffin vs Franklin. (winner gets next shot after Bader/Jones) Thiago/Vera - Winner fights loser of Bader/Jones. (unless it sets up Jones Vs Vera) Thiago/Vera - Loser fights the Loser of Griffin vs Franklin.

I dont see Bader being champ. Jon jones and Shogun are gonna be 1-2 in that division for a while. Machida is definitely in the mix but i think his he has to open up and get a little more aggressive or he will get decisioned to death( I thought he won against Rampage though). Franklin will crush Forrest IMO but wont a huge threat to any of the top guys. Bader/ Jones winner should get next avaiable title shot with Rampage getting Franklin/Forrest winner and give Machida someone in the top 5

Didn't Jones say he wouldn't fight Rashad if he was the champ? That's why i think people are saying "If Rashad wins, Jones is out of the picture"

The UFC will not have the champion, Evans or Rua, defend against somebody they have defeated within the UFC.

What if there are no better options?
If Rashad wins against Shogun, who else is in the title picture ahead of rampage?

I am sure the winner of Jones-Bader will suffice.

I predicted Jon Jones vs. Phil Davis for a title fight in a recent post. Winner of that will get the winner of Rampage/Shogun(he'll beat Evans) by the end of this year.

I doubt Rampage is in a position to match up against Evans or Rua for the title. He lost to Rashad and won a fairly controversial decision since his return to the UFC, and I don't think it's enough.
If Forrest and Jones win their respective fights and Evans pulls off the upset, the UFC will be forced to cobble together a Griffin vs. Jackson II title eliminator (and sell a lot of pay-per-views doing so).

Oh, my bad. We were saying the same thing then. If forrest wins his next match, i think they're doing Forrest v. Rampage 2 almost certainly.
