One last shot.
That’s what Tito Ortiz asked for, and that’s what Tito Ortiz is going to get.
After losing a three-round decision to Matt Hamill at UFC 121, most people felt that Ortiz, after years of calling the UFC home, would be shown the door out of the Octagon. Mounting a record of 0-4-1 in his last five fights, that is what UFC president Dana White thought about Ortiz’s future as well.
“I thought I was gonna cut him, too,” he told MMAWeekly.com, when posed with the idea that most people thought Ortiz would be cut loose after UFC 121.
But just last week in Germany, White said that Ortiz would be returning to the Octagon in early 2011 to fight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. The UFC president didn’t reveal a date or location, but it is widely believed to be taking place in Abu Dhabi in March.

Beat me to the punch. I was just going to post this. Eh, might as well. I think Tito can win this fight.

It was prolly Ortiz's "Dana is my hero" t-shirt that he sported at the weigh-ins that got him another fight.

My only problem is that Tito has fought only the top notch fighters who have a big name value to them...Hamill being the lowest ranked/known fights. Only Chuck (last time seeing old Chuck) has finished him and we all know that if there hadn't been a point deduction Tito would have won against Rashad. Lil Nog doesn't have the name at all, but the guy is top notch....Tito needed to take a step down in the level of competition about 2 years ago after the Rashad fight to rebuild his record and confidence. Making it a well known last chance fight against a guy like Lil Nog is pretty harsh. Now if this fight was against Bonnar or Kryz Sos then I would understand completely.

I see absolutely no way in hell that Tito beats Rogerio. None.
I'll do a lifetime avatar bet on this.

If I take that bet, does that mean I have to wager my avatar for life too?
I'll be taking Rogerio, so if the answer is yes, I will pass on this bet.

The answer is yes. I would only expect a Tito nuthugger who's 100% confident in their boy winning to take the bet.

I'll take an avatar bet but preferably not for life..... I think in the LHW division this is the fight he should win
Lil Nog had issues with Jason Brilz and Ryan Bader, if Tito can take him down he has a good shot

we all know that if there hadn't been a point deduction Tito would have won against Rashad. .
i think you mean if Tito didnt cheat and grab the cage he'd have been slammed/taken down repeatedly and lost a decision against Rashad.

I agree that Tito may have saved himself from losing rather than cost himself a win by grabbing the fence against Rashad. That 2nd round would have played out very differently if not for the repeated stuffing of the take-downs by grabbing the fence.

Which fight did you watch? Because you and I must have watched a MUCH different fight. Tito CLEARLY won rounds 1&2. You could MAYBE give Rashad round 3 for the take-down at the end. I still think Tito controlled most of round 3.
EDIT: I just re-watched the fight before making this post. I can't see any way Tito lost rounds 1 or 2.

Would Tito have lost Round 2 if he didn't grab the fence to stop himself from Rashad's takedowns?
