http://mmajunkie.com/news/21404/source-jorge-rivera-vs-michael-bisping-95-percent-likely-for-ufc-127.mma

After the last-minute cancellation of a weekend UFC 122 co-headliner with Alessio Sakara, Jorge Rivera (18-7 MMA, 8-5 UFC) soon could end up fighting another middleweight contender: Michael Bisping (20-3 MMA, 10-3).

I think Jorge will go right after him and dish out a bloody beatdown on the Brit,if Bisping accepts this fight which I wouldn't blame him if he didn't.

Bisping takes this IMO.
Quicker, more technical striker, and a more well rounded, and conditioned fighter.
Rivera not the most well-rounded, or really the most conditioned fighter, mainly a phone booth brawler that can do a lot of damage though.

However,

I think Bisping eventually takes Rivera down, and submits him TBH, I dont think just defeating Rivera merits Bisping to lobby for a title shot, but the style points of defeating him in an emphatic fashion is what I think the UFC is looking at, which could end up jockeying Bisping a slight chance at a title shot, or set him up in a title eliminator fight.

i feel bisping is at the top of the heap now and he should fight honestly for the title i feel he has earned a title shot honestly anyway. But a fight with Rivera would be fun to watch!

I disagree, it took henderson a good while to catch him, and hes learned how to handle sluggers since then, he beat chris leben handily and he is more stable, rivera has one fight where he is awesome! then the next fight he sucks and hes too one dimensional whereas Bisping is more multi faceted. I feel if bisping wants he can handle rivera easily, bisping looks like a violent british wardancer now and rivera looks like a guy that if you trade with him its over for you. Bisping wont do that. I wish the both of them the best of luck, i think leben vs rivera would be a better match up. More Blood!!!!! yeah!!!!

I see him overlooking Jorge and getting TKO'd or KO'd.

Jorge is doubting Bisping will take the fight, I think.

man enough

I could see Bisping not accepting the fight but I could also see article or "talking" firing up Bisping to actually take the fight.

Agreed. Jorge would have nothing to lose if the fight happened. Bisping would drop down a notch or two if he lost. I don't see him taking this fight. I do think it would be very entertaining though.

Bisping turned it down, can't say I blame him but I'd like to see that fight.

I actually found out why Bisping turned it down, he's taken the starting quarterback position of the Dallas Cowboys.
