While watching Urijah Faber dispatch Takeya Mizugaki, I was thinking that a match with Miguel Torres, with the winner getting a title shot, was almost a no-brainer. I guess the only drawback to the idea is that one of them would temporarily eliminate the other from a title shot, but I don't think that's a good reason to keep them apart.

Furthermore, I remember reading somewhere that Faber was stumping for a chance to coach on The Ultimate Fighter, and thought "hey, why not?" I have no idea whether Torres would be interested in a TUF gig. He seems pretty comfortable on "MMA Live", I guess.

I suppose the one drawback to seeing Torres and Faber on TUF is the possibility that one of them is a total moron, or a jerk. Sometimes it's better to live in ignorance.

p.s. I'm not trying to start any rumors here. This is just an idea.

Wouldnt mind seeing it, if at the very least at least Faber or a TUF of lighter weight classes.

I'd be for it, they're both WEC's most popular fighters and it's a great way to get both more exposure as well as perhaps help push Torres as a much smaller Cain Velasquez and help further establish the Mexican fanbase.

I think it would make the most sense out of any WECers and be a great way to expand their fanbase. I do think it might throw some UFC-only people for a loop, but I have no doubt they both would be great coaches. I wonder if they will do a FW/BW season soon? It seems to me like some of the best fighters of this season will drop after it's over. Nam belongs at 135/145, and Brookins will be better off there as well and has already given the FW champ one of his toughest fights when he made it to the third with Aldo.

The best part of this idea is that the two are legit 135 contenders and MMA stars. Winner gets a crack at the bantamweight title and the show populates the 135 and 125 division. And a title isn't tied up in the process. Kind of a dream scenario.

i would love to see this, but they need to have them coach fetherweights so the ufc could easily get that division hyped up.

I think the Bantamweight division needs more hyping. The Featherweights already have a decent base amongst mma fans, or at least, a bigger one than the 135ers.

I dont think Torres knows anything about training, and also he doesnt speak English. So, I guess its kind of uneven. It could be if team USA vs. Team Brasil, this makes alot of sense.

If he doesn't speak english I guess I am bilingual after all. I understand him pretty well in this Video

I also think its pretty disrepectful to imply that a BJJ black belt, and a former champion who won 17 straight and has fought over 40 times doesn't know how to train. He certainly can't be any worse than Koscheck or Shamrock were.

This.

Sorry, the_01...but you're wrong in every aspect. Research is your friend.

Um....isn't he American? Isn't he from Indiana? Pretty sure English is his primary language. Can't say I've ever heard him speak Spanish, though I've only seen him on camera.

Ok I was going to bash _01 but I would rather get back to the ? at hand. I think Torres vs Faber TUFis an amazing idea! Not only does it promote the two biggest names coming out of the WEC, but the new weight classes involved in the UFC. And especially to the "domographic audience", the new/novice fans Those are the fans the UFC needs to win over with the lighter weights. And both Urijah and Miguel have good personalities and would make for a good season of TUF without all the "Fake Hate " BS!! ................oh yeah!!! WAR GSP!!!

Oops, sorry guys, I mixed up Torres with Aldo, I apolegize.
It would be nice, but both fighters are great and each should dominate a division. Otherwise, thats a dream. And, oh, sorry again, and thanks for not jestering me.
