Sucks to be Benson Henderson. Just like Cantwell and Condit a few years ago.

I can't remember if this had been discussed earlier in this thread, but do we think the number of fights per card are going to increase?

Maybe like 1 or 2 more and maybe add 1 more fight to the broadcast. That's if they could cut down on the intro time(which they could), like get the fighters out faster.

I just miss WEC because it was like the minor leagues in baseball.

See, this is why I think this is a good thing. The Featherweights and the Bantamweights weren't given the respect they deserved, because people thought that the WEC was the UFC's developmental league. Now people will give them their due, if only because it says "UFC" on the marquee.

couldn't agree more here. Especially with the talk of a 135 and 145 Ultimate fighter that will give the casual fan more and more introduction just to how talented these fighters are in the lighter weight classes. With the coaches like Faber and Cruz, for instance, will give them more and more credibility and acknowledgement that they truely deserve. This def. brings things in the UFC to an all-time high for me any way and was a genius move.

I'm pleasantly suprised by this move. This stacks the Ufc LW division more than it already is, and finally introduces the FW and BW divisions to the casual audiences. Now for the Pride fanboy that I am, I hope the reason they got absorbed the WEC is to make for Pride's resurrection. Sorry, like I said, i'm a pride fanboy. I can dream cant I?

i thought about this too, and im thinking they wont. theres an opportunity for them to get even more people subscribing to ufc.com to see the undercard fights here and the dollar rules all. ill still hold out hope with you that they do show more fights though man.
