With Diaz' win over Gomi, Randy over Tim, Sera over GSP, Hendo over Vandy and Gonzaga over Mirko (and you could also throw in Remi's wins over Lil Nog and Arona) it makes me wonder who is next to fall - Chuck or Fedor?
With all of these upsets coming one after another I think it is inevitable that one of the two will go down and my money is on Chuck being the first to fall - if not to Rampage then to Shogun some time towards the end of the year. I think come years end Fedor will still be the man and may hold both the Pride and UFC belts (my prediction is that Big Nog will take the UFC Heavyweight belt and then lose it to Fedor).

I believe this is the worst year in MMA yet. The only thing that could save this, is if Rampage smashes Chuck, GSP is champ by the end of the year, Cro Cop r Nog is UFC HW champ, Fedor has smashed Barnett in Pride and Soku is forced to retire from injury or something.

Why the dislike for Soku? I haven't decided yet whether I like him or not but I do like Team Quest and his two victories have been pretty sick.

IMO these are the only true upsets:
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou defeating Antonio Rogerio Nogueira & Ricardo Arona all in the first round with KO punch.
Joe Lauzon knocking out Jens Pulver (not this year though).
Matt Serra's TKO victory in the 1st round against St. Pierre.
I really do not consider the other ones as major upsets. Couture has traditionally done well against strikers and it was a good styles match-up. Which ever fighter imposed their will would have won that fight. It was a shocker how he dominated Sylvia, but not really a huge upset IMO.
Cro Cop losing to Gonzaga was surprising to me. But not because Gonzaga won, but because the way he won the fight (via a high kick). Gonzaga is a strong grappler who has a solid chin and heavy hands. His style matches up very well against Cro Cop, I don't know why people consider this a huge upset.
Oh, I forgot to mention about Diaz and Henderson, but those weren't upsets either. Too lazy to explain it to though.

He is just one of those charismaless fighters. He might grow on me in time, but he just doesnt click with me the way guys like CC, AA, Chuck, Rampage etc do.

This years crazy. I keep thinking I'm picking the guy with the no-problem win but it always goes the other way! I've stopped counting out the man who they say has no chance.

The amazing thing about the "Year of the Upset" is that we are only in the 4th month of this year. I think if you count all the upsets from lastyear, this year has already doubled or tripled the number. Insane..

Chuck is cool, he is just one those really laid back guys you could have a beer with. Cro Cop is cool because he is so quietly confident, he is an enigmatic character and rightfully so.

The most impressive thing about it is that it's been done in decisive fashion!
Gabriel Napao Gonzaga, the grappler HEAD KICKED MMAs most lethal striker in Mirko CroCop into unconciousness.
Sokodjou brutally knocks out not one but TWO possible top 5 LHWs in the first round.
43-year old man Randy Couture DOMINATES Tim Sylvia and even beats him standing up!
Nick Diaz picks the KO-artist Gomi apart on the feet and finishes the top LW with a GOGOPLATA...
This IS a crazy year...
