If there's one place Jamie Varner might not get booed in WEC, it's in his hometown of Phoenix. We might find out at WEC 53 if that's the case as Varner will likely face Shane Roller at the event. The fight should be made official shortly. Varner also will try to snap a 3-fight winless streak while Roller could earn a shot at the Benson Henderson-Anthony Pettis WEC Lightweight Title fight winner with a victory.

I think Varner should see a sports psychologist, personally. Guy is a competitor with world class skills for sure, but his mental game has shown holes and I honestly know he is better than he presents himself on camera. I think with the right direction this guy could be a fan favorite and definitely regain his title.

agreed. im not a fan of varner, but i like his skills and the way he fights when hes at his best
