That's what he suggested to the TATAME in Brazil. "Whoever it may be, I always respect everybody. We may already have a title defense in January with Mark Hominick, a Canadian very good in kickboxing." No confirmation yet from WEC.

I think this makes the most interesting fight at 145 for Aldo. We have seen him dominate grapplers, but we have not seen him fight a high-level stand up guy yet. I hope this fight gets made.

As I just posted elsewhere, WEC has said not so fast. Several guys are under consideration, most likely Josh Grispi if only because he's beaten Hominick before.

If the question is simply who deserves it more, I think Grispi has the edge. But as far as what makes the best match-up, I think Grispi doesn't have a shot in hell at beating Aldo based on what I've seen from him while I am interested in seeing how Aldo would handle that jab of Hominick's. I will understand if they go with Grispi, but Hominick is the fight I want to see.
