"I don't know if Jon Jones is going to fight Ryan Bader," Dana White said. "We tried to put that fight together, but Bader has some stuff going on. Jon Jones might be fighting somebody else, I don't know how that's going to go."

could this be Jon Jones getting his way? He's stated already that he wasn't happy about Bader as an opponent. he's a rising star and might have some bargaining power.

I would be fine without seeing this fight right now at least.

The original headline said "Ryan Bader turns down Jon Jones fight"...I'm not sure if that was BE using their poetic license or if there is some heat to that...

I see it as a glass-half-full deal, these guys should fight 2 years from now. Plenty of time in their careers to get at each other.

I think Bader made the right move, Jones is as hungry, and has more experience then Bader. I think they should fight somewhere down the line when Bader is more seasoned but nevertheless I like both guys but I think Jones is the much better fighter at this point and time but I can see a title fight between these guys in the near future.

Hmm.. it was my understanding that Bader had his wedding/honeymoon during that time?

As soon as this fight was put together I had a pretty good feeling that it would fall through. It's just a terrible business move for the UFC to kill their top young competitors. They know better then to let that happen so it's not shocking to see this to me.

IMO it's not even an exciting matchup really. I think they missed the mark when they tried to put this one together in all honesty. Usually Joe Silva is pretty good but this time I'm calling epic fail.

Good, I'm happy to hear this fight might not happen. I like both these guys, and their careers are too hot to mess with right now. I would hate to see one of them shot back down. They should have Jones fight Griffin or Franklin, while Bader fights the winner out of Hamill and Ortiz.

Apparently it's not in jeopardy. Jones' agent says the fight is still on and that Bader asked to have the fight pushed back from 125. Too close to his upcoming wedding.

Article

Edit; Even Jones said today it's still on. Seems those comments yesterday got misunderstood and blown out of proportion by certain website (BE). It's still on for now, quit fussing, nothing to worry about, move along...
