For British slugger James McSweeney (4-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC), things couldn't have worked out any better.
Sure, he admits, a late opponent change is never something you'd ask for, but as "The Hammer" finishes his prep for this weekend's UFC 120 bout with promotional newcomer Fabiano Maldonado (17-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), McSweeney says he couldn't have hand-picked a better foe.
"The guy is very cocky and very sure of himself," McSweeney recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). "I love fighting guys like that. It's tailor-made for me."

hahaha it's really funny reading the words "tailor made" and "James Mcsweeney" in the same sentence when it's mcsweeney saying those words.

I love the fact that his reasoning for believing he will win is that his opponent is cocky and sure of himself. dear kettle, you're black, signed - the pot.

I can't tell if I really think he's going to win or if I want McSweeney to lose this badly, but I'm picking Fabio to deliver the KO blow to McSweeneys UFC career. Goodbye britcan, you'll probably go down as the last UFC fighter to have a losing record.

If McSweeney wins this I want a rematch with Mitrione. Meathead crushes him in the rematch. I guarantee it!

McSweeney is so arrogant I hope he gets brutally KOd a few times before the UFC sends him packing.

I also have to add that I think Mitrione got a raw deal on the ultimate fighter. I think the show was edited to make him look very badly. Meanwhile, for some unknown reason (most likely UFC wanting to promote a British hevayweight) McSweeny was edited to try and come off as "tough", even with the kind editing McSweeny still couldn't come off as anything other than an A-Hole.
Seriously, Mitrinoe seems like the guy who would pull over to the side of the road and try to help if its raining and he see's you have a flat tire. Meanwhile McSweeny seems like the guy that would roll down his windown and laugh at you...or maybe even thrown a bottle or something.
That truly was the best analogy I could come up with.

I feel the same way. I always thought the Mcsweney fight was wierd because it just seemed like Mitrione gave up or something. Just lost the will to fight.

I agree. When I watched that season I actually felt really bad for Mitrione. McSweeney is nothing but a bully. I think Mitrione broke in their fight because of the overwhelming support from all the other fighters for McSweeney. I would like to see Mitrione to get his revenge but I can't see McSweeney being around long enough for that to happen, he isn't UFC caliber.
