Johnny Depp
One of the best actors of our generation along with DiCaprio and Pitt. I don't like all of his movies, but he pretty much nails every role he plays.
MY FAVORITES: Platoon What's Eating Gilbert Grape Donnie Brasco Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas Blow Public Enemies (though I was a bit let down for this movie after buying in to all the hype surrounding it, which I try not to do)

Blow was an absolutely amazing movie. I have to agree with DiCaprio and Pitt, probably two of my favorite actors ever. I would like to throw Casey Affleck into the mix as one of the most underrated actors too. That guy is awesome in everything I've seen him in.

Tom Hanks is my favorite actor, but Depp, DiCaprio and Pitt are all a very close 2nd.

Would tend to agree. I thought the remake of "Insomnia" was surprisingly good, and I've read good reviews of both "The Departed" and "Let Me In."

"The Departed"
It is a good movie for sure. I can't understand how anyone would find it to be "overrated" I think they need to watch it again or something.

Let Me In was excellent ...I still prefer the original, but they definitely picked the right child actors, because those were some big shoes to fill. It's a shame they went through all the trouble to bring the film to America so quickly, yet only a small fraction of the population will end up seeing it anyway.

That's what I mean. I haven't heard anyone say it was overrated, even though it was a remake.

Yeah, these remakes are coming faster and faster. Hollywood is really desperate for good ideas.

A lot of people I know really enjoyed 'The Royal Tenenbaums'. Amongst my circle of friends, I'd call it overrated. And by 'overrated', I mean it's crap.

I can see where you're coming from. I personally enjoyed this, as well as Rushmore, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Darjeeling Limited. Wes Anderson is a bit pretentious at times, but I enjoy his movies for the most part.
