Come on folks, virtually all the movies in this thread are big, blockbusters. Let's get more indie flicks!
Well, I tried to stick to movies that people have probably seen, but if you want more obscure stuff, how about...
- Everything by Wong Kar Wai: "Fallen Angels", "Chungking Express", "In the Mood for Love" are what he's most famous for, but "Days of Being Wild" and "As Tears Go By" are nearly as good.
- Everything starring Maggie Cheung: The above-mentioned Wong movies, but also "Clean", "Comrades: Almost a Love Story", and "Irma Vep."
- Dirty Pretty Things
- The Boxer
- Lawn Dogs
- The Princess and the Warrior
- Whale Rider
- The Station Agent
- After Hours
- American Splendour
- Better Off Dead
- Black Book
- The End of the Affair
- Mona Lisa
- The Long Good Friday

For those who are a fan of Broken Lizard movies, check out Puddle Cruiser. It took me a time or two before I really started laughing hard, but it's a favorite of mine now. It's before the guys had any acting ability, and that kind of adds to it.
