TORONTO - Middleweight Nate (The Great) Marquardt is stepping in for Vitor (The Phenom) Belfort and will fight Japan's Yushin (Thunder) Okami in the main event of UFC 122.

The card is set for Nov. 13 in Oberhausen, Germany.

UFC president Dana White confirmed the switch Wednesday. He said Belfort was uninjured but would not be fighting in Germany.

I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure Vitor vs. Anderson is the fight the fans want to see.

Vitor vs. Anderson is definitely what I want to see. Nate vs. Okami will be interesting also.
Wishful thinking I know but I hope Vitor takes the title and Anderson has a run at the LHW title

If Belfort isn't injured, I can't think of another likely possibility. Maybe Dana can't say anything until Silva and Belfort both sign on the dotted line.

In before our false psychic and his phantom sources he won't disclose...it's TENTATIVE but the plan is early 2011. Maybe 125. And I have a source:

I guess since Fail Sonnen got caught with roids, he just lost his rematch to Anderson...

really excited I have been waiting for this fight for a while now, Belfort is by far the best striker Silva has ever faced so it should be interesting.

What makes you say that? He's only been stopped 3 times and only lost to top fighters and he holds wins against several top 10 fighters. That being said I think Anderson takes this one fairly easy.

i think vitor is gonna get KO'd. he is a very good striker but i dont think he's as good as silva. plus, vitor has always been known to be a super aggressive striker. once he catches somebody he overwhelms them. anderson is a counter striker and a damn good one too. vitor plays right into andersons game. AND, other than beating rich franklin a while back, vitor aint done sh!t lately. i think people are hyping him more than he deserves.
