Former UFC champion and longtime top-10 heavyweight Josh Barnett has inked a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce, officials today announced.
Terms of the deal and a debut date were not disclosed.
The 32-year-old fighter enters the organization with an overall 26-5 mark and a current six-fight win streak that includes victories over the likes of Jeff Monson, Pedro Rizzo, Gilbert Yvel and Geronimo dos Santos.

This is awsome! I agree with the clean comment, but this could make some very good fights. Looks like we may get to finally see Barnett vs Fedor!

My question is where are they going to have him fight? I don't think CSAC will sanction him ever again.

He should be able to reapply for a license by now. The suspension he received for a year (pending the appeal that never happened) started last August .

Cotto served his suspension and wasn't sanctioned.

I used to be a big fan, but he's got a lot of ground to make up in my eyes. IMO his actions have warranted questions for every single one of his victories. He's had a great career but I hated to see it marred by continuous failed drug tests.

Did I see somewhere that Tim Sylvia and Barnett are going to be doing a Pro wrestling match in Japan?

Barnett has to win and prove he isn't using steriods quite a bit to gain my support, but he will provide for more depth to the SF HW Div nevertheless.

what he ought to do is voluntarily submit himself to the harshest drug testing program that exists for the entire duration of his training camp, he'd have an instant supporter in me.
