But first, as he tells the TATAME, he's gotta get that bad back of his fixed. "Everything depends on the athlete. To get there really hungry for the win sometimes is not a good thing, but everyone is different. I’ll be ready, for sure, and let’s see what happens. I think it’s a good fight, the two of us like to bang and it seems it’ll be a great fight. I’m anxious for this fight, our games match. He won’t be like trying to grab me all the time, we’ll trade a lot of punches. There’s plenty time and I still have to fix my spine. I’m doing treatment for it. It’ll take a month so I can go back to the trainings, but now I just have to wait for me to fight again."

It also could be a lot like the Rashad fight. I mean Brandon is a smart fighter, he has good Mui tai but his also has very good greco skills. I can he him trying to bully Thiago to the fence and get him to the ground. I hope to hell Silva tears his head off be fore that can happen!

Thiago Silva's ground skills are nothing to be messed with. Especially his GnP. I'm willing to bet Vera tries to manage the distance on the feet to win... but I could be surprised by Brandon

Brandon Vera's problem is getting into his rhythm and firing enough punches to control the pocket and to a smaller extent, the pace of the fight.
Thiago is going to pressure relentlessly, even if he gets knocked out Machida style. Vera is going to try and work an outside game, but if he doesnt fire enough punches Thiago just ends up unloading on him.
So, i think the question for this match is how good is Thiago's footwork. If he can control distance he can force exchanges.
If Vera ends up winning this fight, i think we see it become very apparent early on that thiago is not quick enough on his feet. And if Thiago wins, i think we see that Vera just did what he always does in high-profile matches.

This is a great match up, but both coming off losses, something tells me they probably both fight to not lose and it goes to a decision. But I really hope I'm wrong cuz they are 2 fighter's who bring it when they want. I'm gonna say Thiago presses the action a little more and picks up the dec.
