Dana White is famous for giving guys second chances in UFC and having something of a "never say never" attitude even when he perhaps says otherwise. But he says there will be one definite exception to this rule: Paul Daley.
"That ain't happening, brother," White said after UFC 118. "I know there's a lot of people that are fans," White said. "Dude, that was one of the – I don't even know how to put a word on what that kid did. 'You just had a chance to fight him for 15 minutes, and now you're going to suckerpunch him after the fight? It's disgusting. I hate that. I have no respect for that whatsoever. I know some people out there disagree with me, but this is a sport. There's a lot of things that I'm lenient about, but to walk up and suckerpunch a guy in the face that you just had 15 minutes with?" White feels Daley simply crossed too big of a line. "When you're a fighter, and the fight ends and you're walking around calming down and relaxing, the last thing you expect to do is get punched in the face by someone," he said. "It's disgusting. I hate it."

I agree with Dana, but I feel bad for Daley. He is a great fighter but he's really hot headed. I wish Dana would give him another chance. There is absolutely no excuse for what he did but I wish Dana would give him one more chance. I think what Babalu did was much worse by holding the choke.

I don't care how hot headed you are, that's insane. He's not two years old, and this wasn't his 5th fight. He should be accustomed to acting like an adult, and to handling the adrenaline rushes that come with fights. The fact that he didn't just shows he isn't ready to be on the big show. He doesn't deserve another chance, not for a while.

I just wonder what Koshcheck said to him at the end of the fight, it looked like he whispered something in his ear at the bell. Still no excuse.I'm sure Daley will do fine outside of the UFC, I think he will make more per fight he just won't get all the perks of being sighned to the UFC and maybe less in sponsorship dollars.

I want to believe Dana, but past history is never a guarantee of future results. I still think, albeit not as much as perhaps before, that Daley will be back in UFC someday.

I think the cut is warranted, I just think the whole "never fighting in the ufc ever again" is the harsh part, and who knows how serious that is I'd say give him 2 years and if he strings tg some wins let em back in

I've herd all sorts of rumors about what Kos was saying in his ear at the end of the fight. Mainly, racial slurs towards Daley.
I don't think anyone will ever know for sure and you can't accuse Kos of doing it since you can't really prove it but if that's what he was truley saying then I can't fault Daley as much. Though 2 wrongs still don't make a right.

I don't think this hurts Paul Daley. So, he goes to strike force. [IF] he rules over some people there. It will just generate more buzz and it's only better for Strikeforce and his career. He will be considered one of the best and even if he doesn't fight in the UFC he could still have a good career.

I've read some of those rumors too, the racial thing would be strange & kind of Hypocritical since Koscheck is of mixed race.

regardless, he was just saying things into his ear to piss him off. you can say some really offensive things even if you are mixed race. At the time you are being told those things you are not going to think of what race the person telling you is. you are just going to get pissed.
Kos was just saying things to get under his skin. I don't think he cared what he was saying it and how offensive it could be to even himself.
