After they both won their last respective fights, it seemed either Vitor Belfort or Yushin Okami would get a UFC Middleweight Title shot in their next fight. Turns out neither will-they get each other. With an Anderson Silva-Chael Sonnen rematch planned for next year, it now appears Belfort and Okami will face each other at UFC 122, and it will be the show's main event.

No offense to either but this is a terrible main event.

So this will determine number one contender? I'm gonna be pissed if Okami takes him down for 3 rounds and Vitor doesn't get his shot because of it.

I think this is a good match up, it cant be worse than bisping/evans.

i think okami will actually use his stand up to take belfort down and might succeed but i think belfort's patience will pay off and land a 2nd or 3rd round knockout

this would be a nice main event but I don't like it as a headliner, hopefully they put a strong card together for the event but it dosen't look like thats going to happen. Okami may be able to just out grapple Vitor for 3 rounds but I think Vitor will eventually catch Okami with a big shot

I guess people are disappointed after being spoiled with five of the last seven cards having title fights (and one of the ones without main evented Evans vs. Jackson).
I see nothing wrong with Belfort vs. Okami, and I'm leaning Okami to put Belfort on his back, where he notoriously melts.

Look for Okami to grind out a really tough victory.

i want to see okami win this thing. i think that if vitor fights silva it will result in another silva KO. vitor is known for his aggressive stand up and silva has the best counterstriking in MMA. i dont see it going well for vitor. now okami, i dont see it going well for him either but at least he can try to do what sonnen did and wrestle the sh!t out of silva.

It's on Spike so I won't complain. It'll be a good fight, but I'm glad I don't have to shell out $45 for a card headlined by this fight.
I'm leaning toward Okami in this fight. Belfort's ring rust will hurt him, and Okami will grind out a ground and pound decision.
And yeah, it's STILL better than Bisping/Evans.

if okami gets too comfortable with his striking, then this could be an interesting fight with Vitor picking up a KO/TKO, but I see Okami controling this fight for a boring UD unfortunatly

This is a terrible Main Even. Good thing it's free. I wouldn't pay for this. I'd really like to see Belfort knock him out but unfortunately I see a boring UD for Okami.

Two freebies main events. Bisping vs akiyama Belfort vs okami
I like belfort vs okami better You fans need to think logically. Ufc has no one else for main event Others banged up or on other cards I predicted this as main event over a week ago
Call me crazy. But I think okami could win this
