That injury curse from a few months back is clearly back with a vengeance recently, today it claimed Todd Duffee. Scheduled to face Jon Madsen at UFC 121, Duffee is now off due to a lingering knee injury. Gilbert Yvel is the replacement.

This is like good/bad. The good Yvel gets another shot BUT facing another grappler that could just hold onto him for 3 rounds.

I know Yvel needs to improve his game but I would just like to see him face another guy that will just stand and trade with him.

Problem with that is they're all either too good for him now or they all seem to be booked. Maybe if Cro Cop wasn't tapped to face Mir.

Sounds like a lucky break for Madsen to me.

Not that Yvel is a pushover or anything, but I think he has a WAYYYYYYY better chance against him just given their styles.

Yeah i think that Jon will get th UD here. If for some retarded reason he stands and trades with Gilbert it could get ugly!!

well the fight does start standing so there is a decent chance yvel can clip or rock madsen before it turns to a grapple fest. Didnt it happen with big ben, yvel rocked rothwell but then ben survived with his grappling.
