both guys lost for the first time in their careers, and now both have to pick themselves up and go back up the ladder. mo clearly is the more seasoned fighter at this point, so his fall is farther, but was lashley exposed to the point that its clear hes not meant to do this at the highest level?
my thought is that lashley might just doubt himself too much at this point to be effective against top level competition which he hasnt even been in there with yet. mo on the other hand will hopefully see that hes not a great striker at this point and really shore up his defense standing and learn to keep his hands up. im thinking mo still has the much brighter future, and is a proven commodity already and can hold titles again at some point. i just dont think lashley is a guy that is ever going to make a huge impact on the sport.

You said it. Mo needs to work on strking to change levels and dump people on their heads. Then Work GNP but he needs to get out of SF so he can use bows.

Lashley: bad for himself, not really for SF, he wasnt there only star like with elitexc and kimbo.
King Mo: bad for SF

Suddenly Lashley-Batista doesn't sound so bad. But they've also been building Lashley up more slowly, he wasn't going to be Lesnar and go straight to UFC after 1-2 fights.

Lashley showed how much work he still needs to put in. I can agree with the commentators when they mentioned Lashley losing some muscle weight/leaning up. He gassed and looked helpless whereas King Mo got KO'd. He was always in the fight up until the big knee landed. Mo just made a bad decision going for a telegraphed uppercut to the body. I think Batista vs Lashley should happen before people lose interest. SF should feed someone to Batista and give him Lashley next. Building up Batista and waiting a year or so would be a bad idea IMO.

Lashley is a one dimensional fighter who has not developed any stand up yet what so ever (no offense). I think this loss with make Lashley or break him. This loss was good for him if anything.

i think it was worse for king mo. he really didnt look good that night. he is really irratic and it showed that somebody with good tight boxing/muey ti and with pretty good takedown defense can stop him. when Mo couldnt get his take downs anymore he fell apart. his boxing was as ugly as it gets. his hands were at his knees the whole time. he has decent movement and speed but as he got tired he couldnt keep that speed up and without having his hands up it was only a matter of time before he got hit hard. he was the champ but he isnt a champion yet. hes got alot to work on. lashley aint done squat so that loss was just a good way to get rid of the hype and make him focus harder or get out.

I have not been impressed with King Mo, and I felt that Gegard was worthy of winning that fight even though I gave it to Mo. That being said he's humbled and the hype is off him, he should greatly improve mentally and I think he will learn a lot from what went wrong.

Although neither fighter impresses me very much, I would have to go with Mo.

I have to go with Lashley here. i think the loss for Mo will take the pressure off him a bit. Let him recoup and come back before writing him off. Lashley on the other hand solkidified my feelings as he was never meant to fight in such a big Org!

King Mo lost to a legit contender with KO power. He looked fairly good in the fight but it didn't go his way.
Lashley looked absolutely terrible. He talks a big game like he's almost ready for the best Strikeforce has but He looked like novice at best.

Lashley is garbage. I wish he would get knocked out already so this hype will be killed.
