Jay Hieron (19-4), who has had some issues with Strikeforce, says that he's officially been released from the promotion. He tweeted:

"I finally got my release from SF... Y'all know what I'm about to do!!!!!!!"

"I have been threw a lot of **** this past year but I have trained the whole time. So all WWs take notice I'm coming for somebodys head..."

I think he's a good fighter who is in great shape and is well rounded....He should do well in the UFC....I'd like to see him fight Condit in his debut.

wouldnt mind seeing him return to the UFC to fight some tough guys rather than him go fight decent guys in smaller orgs like bellator or something.

should get signed by the ufc, 7 straight wins, 9 out of his last 10 and ranked #14WW on bloodyelbow, 23-9, last 3 wins over joe riggs, jesse taylor and jason high, two ufc losses were too goulet via tko cut and gsp, oh a decision win over jake ellenberger nice.

He's been one of the better and most underrated guys out there for a while now. I always thought the UFC lost a good talent when they cut him. Will be glad to see him back in the UFC if he makes it

To a certain extent, this is false. Yes, he has no fights with SF left, but Coker says they can match any offer for a certain time.

I'm 99% sure UFC picks him up, and the only reason SF would even try is so UFC can't have him. Hieron is an excellent fighter, and SF did nothing but **** on him the entire time he was there. He beats Riggs, yet Riggs gets main event status? He beats Jesse Taylor, but Taylor gets a shot on the next main card? He beats everyone, but they bring in an overrated Zaromskis for a title shot? Totally classless matchmaking by SF.

He is a good fighter but I don't think he would do very well in the UFC.
