The Nightmare has returned to his roots.

Former "Ultimate Fighter" winner Diego Sanchez has returned to Team Greg Jackson as a member of the team, and has already begun training with the squad as of Tuesday.

Representatives at Team Jackson in New Mexico confirmed the news to MMAWeekly.com, after Sanchez posted the news via his Twitter account.

Sanchez was a mainstay at the Albuquerque gym for several years, growing up under the tutelage of Greg Jackson and striking coach Mike Winkeljohn.

diego's a spaz and all but i love to see him fight. he always puts on the best fights. the sanchez/guida fight is one of my all time favs. i really hope he comes back and fights to his potential, his last fight was garbage.

He went to Xande/Saulo Ribeiro for a while, but didnt work out-- its hard to use what you are best at (top game gnp/submission grappler) if you cant take a guy down.

He's a decent striker and decent off his back, but he needs that wrestling tune-up if he really wants to be a threat ever again. Good move, lets see how he progresses back at Jackson's camp.

A solid move in me eyes. Diego is a cardio machine with decent stand up and grappling. Jackson's camp is arguable the best in MMA. I cant see how going back would hurt at all.
