The 12th season of Spike TV’s “The Ultimate Fighter” will feature 28 up-and-coming mixed martial artists in the lightweight division (155 pounds) competing for a six-figure contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

After looking up their records it seems to me like TUF was looking for a lot of submission fighters this season. To be honest I am not impressed, Brookins, Ambrose, Phan, and Weathers seem to be the best of the bunch.

I'm sure they chose grapplers because of the experience Kos and GSP have there. I'd see all of them being able to work on standup well, but i think grapplers would learn more from gsp and kos.
