At UFC 121, teacher will meet student. The teacher is TUF 3 coach Tito Ortiz, the student is TUF 3 alum Matt Hamill, who will face off at the event. No word yet on placement but it likely will be main card.

Gotta go with the student though by decision.

Tito's gotta be a little disappointed, all his hoping for a Rich Franklin or Chuck Liddell-type fight and he gets Hamill. Gotta go with my other man Hamill here, Tito's coming off that major surgery and I don't know if he'll be able to handle Hamill's wrestling. If Matt wins this should get him a fight or two from title contention.

Im glad Tito got Hammil, good choice. I wanted to see Tito fight someone else before fighting Forest again. I have a feeling it could be a draw.

PROBABLY be on the Main card? Despite Tito not winning a fight against someone younger than 40 years olf since early 2006, He's still a draw. This card is looking to be seriously stacked. Thank God for the Spike Prelims!
As for the fight, Tito's been inactive for a while and is coming off surgery, and I expect that to effect him significantly. He won't be able to take Hammill down, and i expect Hammill to be able to take Tito down. It'll be an ugly fight if it stays standing, but I think Hammill gets the better of that aspect too.
Hammill by Unanimous Decision

Don't like this matchup at all. Would have prefered to see Tito fight Bonnar.

really? this seems wack to me...like almost mean. They must not have minded or they could've said no but there are a lot of people Tito could be fighting if he's going to keep fighting. I'd rather see him fight just about anyone....who am i kidding? i'll be watching this too. Never been a huge tito fan but i'll feel bad for whoever loses this fight. Seems like matt should be able to take this.

It'll be really exciting and its a good theme for asses in seats. As a main event it would suck though.

Tito hasn't looked good in years, meanwhile Hammil's been slowly progressing with only a couple of setbacks....combine that with ring rust and post back surgery and I don't see how Tito can pull this one off....maybe it's Tito who should retire!

I'm actually interested in this one. I feel like it could either be a brutal fight, or just boring as hell. This fight will either make or break Tito as a UFC fighter though and it will be interesting to see how many people tune in to see him fight. I know that he once had tremendous drawing power, but does he still? I realize he hasn't won a fight in a while, but the guys he has been beaten by are all former world champs. Even the draw to Rashad isn't a good indicator that he isn't still a good fighter. I'll be watching, but if it turns into one of those situations where both guys are gassed and laying on each other I'll probably just take the opportunity to go grab a beer and pop a pizza in the oven. I'm excited at first glance though.
