So he says, as long as it gets him closer to the UFC Light Heavyweight Title. "People ask me 'well who do you want to fight next?' I couldn't care less, this is a business to me; I'm making my way to the 205 lb. title at this point in time so as long as it's somebody that puts me in a direct line for that then I'm good to go, otherwise I don't want to waste my time. I've heard the fans talk about Forrest [Griffin] and I, I've heard the fans talk about Tito [Ortiz] and I. I know there's some fan interest out there for some particular fights, and I know that Dana is particularly interested in building fights that fans want to see, so if those guys are healthy at the time that I'm ready to return and that's a fight he wants to put on then yeah, I'm not going to say no to something like that."

He says he don't care as long as it leads to a title shot, and then he hints around about two guys that are out of the title picture right now. I still think Franklin is an elite fighter I'd rather see him fight the Bader vs Rogerio winner, especially if Rogerio wins because that could be fight of the year candidate.

Rich is so well rounded that he should have no problem getting to the title shot he wants. Rich only fights big names and studs. Chuck is not as great at winning anymore, or maybe the strikers now are better than the grapplers he fought way back when. That was as close to the Best Chuck I have seen since he was a title holder. Rich should consider mixing takedowns into his game so he don't get predictable. Since there is bigger strikers at 205, he should fight on the ground to wear them out more.

Rich is absolutely still relevant in the title picture. He's already lost to Machida once, but that was so long ago neither guy is the same fighter anymore. I see him struggling against Machida and Shogun, but those are both winnable fights for him.
I'd like to see him fight someone right on the cusp. Rampage, Nog, Machida, maybe Forrest just because it would be an awesome fight stylistically.

I'm all for Franklin fighting Forrest. That's a fight I have wanted to see for a long time. While Forrest has been on a bit of a slide, he's still as relevant now as he's ever been. His losses have come against the best.
