Shortly after the co-main event for UFC 119 was announced, the main event was revealed and they have one thing in common: Nogueiras. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir has been confirmed by Dana White as the main event soon after Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader was tapped as co-headliner. An official announcement is expected soon.

Junkie also reports that apparently UFC might've wanted Rich Franklin to headline the event, but Ace's agent says he's out until December (arm).

I do not like this as a main event and I do not like the co-main event either. Dana has got to be planning on showing this for free on Spike cause no one is going to buy this card. I wait forever for the UFC to come to Indy and we get this? DAAMN!

I'm actually excited to see the rematch, but I agree that it seems more like a co-mainevent after recent memory than a mainevent. I'm not a big fan of the Bader, Little Nog fight. I mean it seems like a lose lose to me. If Bader wins then everybody will say lil nog wasn't that good and site the Brilz fight (I'm not saying it's a valid argument I'm just saying what will be said) and if Nog wins then everybody will say he was fighting a guy with too little experience. The rest of the card isn't terrible though. I'll probably catch this one at the local Bufalo Wild Wings or Hooters though...don't see myself paying for it.

It's a good Plan B, and it's only because Brock & Sable are expecting again and as I noted above Franklin can't go because of his arm. And it's going to be a PPV. And hey, at least you're getting UFC!

I suppose you are right, but I would even rather see a Machida/Evans 2 main event. I just dont see Mir vs Nog as a legit main event. But hey its better then Hook N Shoot!! haha

I think Mir will take the rematch. Theyre probably even on the ground but Mir has the more technical standup. Plus hes possessed.

Really don't understand all the criticism for this card. I've been wanting to see a Nog/Mir Rematch since it happened. I hope this one goes to the ground so we can see probably the best heavyweight grappling match that MMA has to offer.

Bader/ Lil Nog is a great fight too. On paper, Lil nog has better striking and BJJ, but Bader can control where the fight takes place...

Don't know who I'm picking yet on either fight.

Give the UFC some slack guys....GSP is on the shelf till December, Shogun is out till March, not EVERY card is gonna have a title fight. I think the UFC has spoiled us recently since UFC 111. IT should be a great night of fights. Remember, not many had high hopes for UFC 115, and that was the best card of the year (till this past saturday, haha)

I'm looking forward to both matches

Co-signed.

Aside from the Hunt-McCorkle fight, I have no complaints.

Apparently the UFC doesn't put on good cards places where the stadium will be filled at the start of the prelims. They'll take us for granted and save those for places where ppl choose not to show up til the main event. As a hoosier this card feels like a kick in the nuts after originally hearing about Rampage vs lil Nog and Lesnar vs Cain. Was Nogueira vs Mir the headliner the first time around? If not I have to wonder why they would be now after both coming off horrible defeats.
